Title: Certified Case Manager - still active as of 9/1

Job Description:
Newly created position for an RN or Nurse Practitioner as case manager for risk management and positive quality outcomes in long-term workers` compensation situations.

Duties center in ensuring patient progress along a continuum of care in an efficient and cost effective manner. Advocate and link communication with other departments and community resources. Identify any barriers to recovery. Plan proactive courses of action to address any issues in short-term or long-term for patient`s best outcomes. May also provide expert witness statements in writing or in person. Otherwise, the work is primarily by conducted by phone.

Might be a great opportunity for an RN or Nurse Practitioner with clinical experience who is tired of the extreme stresses of direct care, but interested in using his/her medical expertise in a different way.

 
Job Requirements:
Our client`s expectations include:

  • Current license as Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner.
  • CCM standing or fully qualified to be certified.
  • At least five years of recent general clinical experience, as well as managed care or case management expertise.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and interest in balancing patient outcomes and cost containment.

Screening process includes in-person interviews, employment verification, education and licensing verification, reference checks, and criminal background checks for misdemeanor or felony convictions.
